Community Activities

Visitors are always welcome to join in with the activities that the community has to offer. Throughout the summer there are turkey suppers and church and community take out suppers in various locations throughout the village. Details of what’s on can be obtained from the village Office at 73 Main Street, St Martins, (506) 833 2010, e-mail:

The Community Hall on Main Street is the venue for the Church Breakfast, which is held on the first Saturday of every month – everyone is welcome!

Yard sales and rummage sales are very popular and well attended. Many are in aid of local charities, and these will usually be found in Main Street. However, private ones are also held, especially in summer. Details of these can be obtained from the Village Office, and also look out for flyers posted in Huttges General Store, Main Street.

Old Home Week is held during the third week in July, with many events taking place, which draw people from far and wide. Look out for some of the classic cars which take part in the big parade down Main Street on Saturday afternoon, marking the end of Old Home Week.

Decorated floats representing the Fire Department, the Volunteer Ambulance Service and other organizations compete with each other for the grand prize.
